Is it feasible for media to stop *sports* reporting on these clubs? Could journos conscientiously object to do a run of mill match report on certain teams?

it's a very interesting question
ha.....journos boycotting us!!!
Sums them up really, they actually think anyone would notice if they didn't report on us. They are parasites latching onto the game to bleed some money for themselves, if they stopped reporting on us, not a single person would give a shit. Yet they don't realise this as they genuinely believe they are part of the game
Media already struggling with logic related to the takeover offer for NUFC:
"With the purchase of European sporting clubs by Gulf royals invariably provoked by a desire to exert soft geopolitical power, it has previously been regarded as unlikely that two members of the same ruling family would buy high-profile rival football clubs." https://www.theguardian.com/footbal...e-sheikh-khaled-newcastle-sale-rafael-benitez
Well maybe your assumption was wrong. Maybe Arab billionaires are no different to other rich people and want to take on and handle the same commercial and sporting propositions as their Western counterparts?

Already having, for hundreds of years, loved the Kudos of running their horses against each other.
