Is the correct answerLets put all this into perspective before people slag of Stones. We are talking about England here, managed by Gareth Southgate
Anyone thinking Southgate is training this lot to pass it out from the back, training the players in where they need to position themselves so that the pass can be made to by-pass the press !!!Sorry but that aint happening.
There are players in that team who dont have a clue how to play it out from the back, and when you have someone like stones who does, but no-one takes up the correct position to receive the ball then it will make him look ordinary as he either gets closed down or as last night the receiver loses the ball and they score
Funny how when the dippers boo our whole team for 90 minutes that’s described as vocal home support or one of those special Klanfield nights. Surely booing one your own players is worse than booing the opposition. Our media just don’t understand ironyFrom the BBC,
Liverpool’s Virgil van Dijk, mercilessly and totally inexplicably jeered by England's fans all night,
Was Sterling being booed ever described in such a way, *****!
Do you think that Pep and the staff who focus on player analysis will have that? Will they fuck. Stones was trusted for one game in the run in and dropped an absolute stinker of a performance.
He's got an absolutely enormous season ahead of him. At the moment he's a huge concern.
Redknapp actually name dropped Foden as an example of players who can come in and be comfortable receiving the ball in tight spots. Surprisingly insightful take from him.
