Media coverage 2018/19

Sounds an awful lot like a media agenda
Yet some people can't see it and continue to denigrate people who highlight instances that are admittedly tenuous sometimes but disappear without a trace when you get crap like the stuff being written about us last night.

Same happened with the Der Speigel regurgitation by our esteemed press pack and their faux outrage; the usual sneering apologists went missing from this thread.

This deserves more coverage. Todays online M.E.N. highlights gobshite Linekar having a go at the number of Blues at the match last night and the BRILLIANT response from a Blue …………

'Lineker mocked City’s fans after Kevin De Bruyne’s early opener, writing on Twitter: “De Bruyne nods in from close range. Manchester City might score more goals than there are spectators tonight.”
One City fan responded to the Match of the Day host with a dose of realism, responding: “My Mum would love to have gone but she only gets £70 pension a week. This week she had a tv licence for £160 to pay your £12m a year salary. She can’t afford anything. Think about that before you tweet nonsense from your multi-million pound home.”

Probably clicks. I reckon there are thousands of bored little knobheads sat at home biting their eyes out every time we score. And they need to vent.

I've just been tagged in a picture of empty seats by some lad saying embarrassing...followed by a bukkake of comments saying the same thing. It's the only thing they can do to ease the pain.

That page has probably had more clicks than had it said man city scored 9 today.

Spurs only got 44k for their London derby semi final against Chelsea on Tuesday night

The perfect reply to that mate is that there were over 76,000 empties at Old Trafford tonight and over 54,000 at Anfield

And quite a few at Leicester, which is probably the main reason for the snide dig. Carragher and Lineker, both millionaires who have never paid for a ticket in their lives. They deserve all the abuse they get.

32k on a midweek, cold January, a few days after selling 52k for Rotherham in the first round, just after Xmas, and a congested fixture list, against a team we're guarenteed to win with no drama or excitement is not bad tbf; but this is not the point. This is:

Unless you attend every game, have enough spare cash to do so, enough time and no other commitments and you have NO ISSUE WHATSOEVER with the price of a season ticket or match day tickets, have no issue with the price of travel in this country or the way we're hearded like cattle into a few train or tram carriages; have no issue with paying nearly a tenner for a pie and a pint. Have no issue with none of this... then by all means go ahead and call out other teams for not selling out every single game.

All you're doing is perpetuating the idea that it's ok to treat fans like this and charge us what they do because you're saying we should be going to every game regardless. Sat at home watching sky sports wanking into your keyboard over pictures of empty seats whilst you hardly attend any games or support any local teams doesn't make you a better fan because another fans team didn't sell out a game. It just means you're part of the problem because you're not in solidarity with the working man who can't afford to go to every game and shouldn't have to fork out as much as he does when he does. The problem isn't empty seats it's you having no sympathy for any man affected by the commercialistion and prophylaxis of football culture.
