What's wrong with discussion of media in a media thread?

I like reading about the club, good and bad and I 'm glad people put up links to articles etc I might not have seen.

Wouldn't the same apply to Spurs or has Stan forgotten there is another side in the final.

But I think it shows one of the reasons why people don't want Liverpool to win anything. Just winning isn't enough for them, there always needs to be someone that they've bettered that they can lord it over.

If we win the domestic treble I couldn't give a toss if we've overshadowed anyone else. I'm just happy for us.
 
They'll always shift the goalposts no matter what we do. I used to get irate by it (and the odd article still does piss me off tbf), we're seeing it now with "Net" spend.

Before it used to be our overall spend ("blowing people out of the water" etc) but then the scouse ****s came along and broke the record for a goalkeeper and centre back.. so the media had to change the narrative, "NET SPEND.. NET.. SPEND!").

If we win it today I cant wait to see all of their sourpuss faces.
 
in a strange way I love all this biased shit ... it just makes it even sweeter what our team are doing . If we were battling say West ham it just wouldn't be the same as sticking it up this shower of media loved shite.
 
Turned on radio 5, immediately have some tit saying how much city have spent, depth of squad etc. Unfortunately, that’s the narrative. Doesn’t matter that the bin dippers have three players who cost more than our record signing; spent a record amount in the previous 12 months; have made two world record signings.

Bbc and football365 (basically a dipper mouthpiece) have got deleted.

That’s rubbish. Who won the Champions League in 2010 or 2003 or 1997. Forgotten? Yep. Same here. Who was the last team to win all 3 domestic trophies in the same year? We all know that. Never happened. When it does that is long term history assured - not some poxy “we won a trophy this year” history

Did anyone feel that Chelsea stole our thunder in 2012? It’s the dippers giving themselves a comfort blanket to hide the fact they fucked up a 7 point gap. This should be eating these deluded twats up inside, City might not be so generous with the amount of games they have lost this season next year.

But what does any of that have to do with the dippers being the best team on the planet, having the most balls, the most togetherness, the best midfielder in hendo, the best lion heart in Milner, the best fans, the best ....

And they certainly will not benefit though piss poor penalty decisions, goalies throwing the ball in the net and bags full of good luck next season. This is the closest they will get to us and with all that, we will still win the league
 
On a personal level I love the bitterness it makes me warm inside. My main concern is that there's no way match officials don't expose themselves to the media, whether it be digital, print or TV. Clearly the narrative being pushed is how great a Liverpool title would be, so whether conscious or not it will be on the officials mind.
