It is sad seeing just how petty the BBC sports department is now. On the live feed on the website on Tuesday the headline score that was being updated was Juventus V's Athletico Madrid, Last night is was Bayern Munich V's Dippers. This is the first time I have seen a British Broadcaster reporting non-British clubs as a priority over games involving British clubs whilst playing games at the same level of a competition.
When you see at what level the BBC was once at and to see it now makes you sad that the power that be have lost all sense of their roots and priorities.

That seemed to change part way through, once the City match was a given (either that or I wasn't paying attention!).

Barcelona beating Lyon isn't really a story. Liverpool beating Bayern in Germany is far more of a story than City beating Schalke in England.

They still need clicks though, and a FC Ronaldo story will get more than City smashing Schalke. That it was from 2-0 and was a hat-trick from one of the most well-known players in the world made it all but inevitable.

BT did this effectively in their historic coverage of PSG's CL second leg at the Etihad in 2016!

If I remember rightly it was played the same night as the Chelsea Leeds FA cup final replay at the swamp. They showed the highlights on sport night with Coleman after 10pm. I was allowed to stay up and watch it.
It was shown live in every country in Europe including, I believe, Scotland. But not Ingerland because of the cup final replay.
