The suggestion that the song has anything to do with Hillsborough is utterly preposterous.

Our fans went to the trouble of paying for a banner to remember the 96 and this was displayed at Anfield during a game a few years ago. We also paid tribute when Joey Barton laid a wreath in front of the Liverpool end of the ground at the Etihad.

We have been totally sympathetic to their fight for justice and had sympathy for the victims of that terrible day. I had friends at that game.

We have not mentioned Hillsborough in any song and I’m not sure why it is even being connected.

I had no beef with Liverpool fans. In fact at the cup final, it was mostly a good natured day before the game, drinking in the same pub and waiting for the tube back. I know there was some trouble that day but I didn’t see any.

It all changed last season when the bus was attacked. They can fuck right off for me now with their bleating on about this and that. Just sore losers and I am reading comments from other fans saying the same even after this heavy media attack.

The media we have had this week after a back to back title win has been nothing short of a disgrace with the BBC being the most culpable of the lot.

I think this will bring the club, players and fans together on Saturday and Watford are going to be the unfortunate ones to suffer.

All true. Remember going to our next home game after Hillsborough, many wearing red and white scarves on the Kippax and the minutes silence impeccably observed. How they can sully the memory of those fans by even suggesting there's a link is here is sad.

The first one was the Hillsborough anniversary match where their thugs attacked one of our fans' minibuses before the game, booed every player's touch throughout the game, and attacked our fans at Lime Street afterwards. I got there early that day and some of their drunken fans were staggering around the front of the stadium threatening every City fan they could find. It was a horrific atmosphere (back to the 80s) To be fair most of the trouble seemed to be caused by local fans who did not even enter the stadium but watched the game on TV. I think this was also the case during the bus attack CL game.

I had friends at Hillsborough who were injured and one who lost a cousin. At the time all football fans, including City and United were 100 per cent behind the Liverpool fans.

Can the club refuse to speak to the BBC on cup final day.

News, sport and that fucking red ticket hasn't stopped talking up a ban all morning.

That would be counterproductive.
I wonder if Zabaleta will be in the studio - he's done BBC stuff before.

They have done nothing but throw every sign of respect we showed them as a club and fans back in our face. Bricking coaches and attacking our fans but still we remained fair to them.

The tide started to really change when Ederson was lying injured getting oxygen after being booted in the face and they started booing and jeering. You could hear and feel the anger and rage erupt from our fans that day, culminating in singing, "Always the victims it's never your fault." The first time I heard us sing that. The attack on our team coach and subsequent whitewash of it by UEFA, the media and Merseyside police was the final straw.

They are a self entitled hysterical vile cult of a club and fanbase and deserve every bit of shit and mockery thrown at them.

how would it be counter-productive? they are mauling the club already, its not like they will change track with the questions they will prepare.
"were you singing"?
"who was singing"?
"did you know it was about hillsborough and a fan almost killed"?
"will you ban players"?
"will the club get banned"?
"did you know about the withheld information from uefa"?
"will you leave if the club is banned"?
and on, and on, and on and on.......
