So he did, I think I'd glazed over at the curiousness of it by then, Anyway, it's now made the website:

Another load of old wank. I’m not a cheerleader for Abu Dhabi. I never have been, I never will be. I’m a cheerleader for Manchester City, and I’d been one for the better part of 40 years before Sheikh Mansour bought the club, and I’ll carry on being one til the day I die

His biog suggests Wigmore is just another unqualified posh boy who is pretending to be a journalist. City fans are not cheerleaders for Abu Dhabi. All we want to see is fairness and context when considering our owners compared to those who own other organisations across the world. In middle east terms Abu Dhabi is a very liberal regime and its human rights record is much better than countries like China, Russia and even the good-old USA.
The UK does billions of pounds of trade with Gulf countries. Thousands of UK jobs depend on this business (at least 10,000 in Lancashire where I live) To compare what ADUG have done in Manchester (also creating thousands of jobs) with Nazi Germany and the 1936 Olympics is just absurd..as well as unfair.

I’m not clicking. Sick of City being hammered for this. Arsenal and the FA Cup are sponsored by Emerites Airways and there is no call at all to reconsider their positions.

Wigmore curses, as another one has spotted the flaw in the constructed argument.

These attacks are completely erroneous.

Today, in my everyday life, I've disregarded animal welfare, contributed to climate change, trampled on workers rights in the developing world, I've not donated to charity, my house could easily accommodate a large family, yet it's just me and my wife, and I'm a season ticket holder at a club owned by an evil despot!

I'm retiring now to a darkened room, with a bottle of whisky and a loaded revolver.

It should be darkened whisky, bottle of revolver (cologne), and a loaded room, you suave so-and-so.

Assume the people who write this guff are going to lead by example. Start off by ditching your car.. you can’t be financing this evil regime by buying fuel can you !!

Then they can stop using any form of transport and stop using anything that uses oil in its manufacture

C’mon you can’t just expect city fans to take the moral high ground

Of course unless, deep down it’s city they have the problem with and not the UAE’s human rights record?

BBC tv local football slot: the Murkyside derby (which the silly bugger describes as the most anticipated MANCHESTER derby in years!) followed by the Sanchez hamstring, and then the local clubs in FAC2.

Raheem is wasting his time being top 'o the league. The BBC tv local just haven't noticed!

I watched it. Those slack wristed ****s need a good kick in the bollocks

Representatives of MUFC state backers, Saudi Telecom and Aeroflot, congratulate themselves on Fellaini´s last-minute goal vs Young Boys at the G20 summit.

Don't worry. Barney Ronay and his mates in the media will be demanding imminently that United fans boycott games to see that justice is served to these two murderers. Hang on, they already started the boycott last Tuesday.
