Does it mention the attack on our bus? They got a wad of cash for getting to the final which could be argued got them funds for another player. If they had not have attacked the bus then it might have been a different story. I'm not sure it would but I like to mention it to the Liverpool fans at work.

I think any football supporter with an ounce of decency who watched events unfold at Heysel would want them never to win another match never mind a trophy. The foulest of football clubs and fans.

Cannot believe that a usually decent journo has taken a faux moral stance here......Dipperpool are the definition of old money entitlement..a fact that Winiter conveniently ignores’ as he does their shyte behaviour in Europe since Heysel and then the attack on City’s team bus.....

Stick this hack’s bollocky article on the City dressing room door come Thursday.... no better team talk...

Hahaha fuck off.

Embarrassing smug photo.....

And this vermin won’t mind a great view of the game whilst lapping up our hospitality ? Should be stopped at the door & told he’s not on the list .
I've no idea what he's written, and I'm not bothering myself to find out, but exactly right.

A long time ago (pre city history in 2008) I sent this c*nt an email, politely (and I mean that), telling him what a c*nt I thought he was for writing something derogatory about us (can't remember what it was now). I just questioned what he'd written, yet despite my politeness, the bile in the email I got back was quite surprising, but proved what a c*nt he was, a bitter anti city c*nt, long before our bad 'oil money' turned up, he then blocked my (not quite so polite) response.

I have absolutely no time for any of these tossers now, their bitterness towards us before the takeover was bad enough, its been multiplied tenfold since, yet they take everything they can get from our generous club, I'd ban the f**king lot of them, or give them seats in with the fans, and make them pay full price.

There’s a reason these bastards have got protection at our ground, they fucking need it . Just sad the club take this shit & don’t fight back .

They'd be paid In full alright

City needs to REALLY work hard on their image this year. Last year was dreadful for the club. We have (wrongly in most instances) been painted in a terrible light of late. Yes, it's down to fear, racism and off-field gamesmanship but regardless, it kills me to see the club dragged through so much mud for not much reason.

Time to fight back imho.

I want to see City being a little more proactive regarding our standing and image.

Not sure that will go down well with the media jackals who thrive on slagging the club.

What do you have in mind ? As I see it we can't win, we have gone up against football's establishment.

Winter's article was odd. He states that Liverpool are principled on and off the pitch, then uses a fan protest at the club hiking the prices as an example. Bit hard to argue the club is principled in that regard. Also documents they aren't as commercially focused as other clubs (United are a commercial vehicle, ourselves & Chelsea are playing catch up) and conveniently ignores issues surrounding Standard Chartered. Would a club with such high, aspirational, principles really be sponsored by a bank that facillitates the movement into the US & laundering of billions from the Iranian government?

It's hard to stomach that level of hypocrisy, considering the consternation about our owners.

IIRC Liverpool's biggest problem with expanding the Anfield Road end was objections from the locals regarding anti-social behaviour.

You don't read that in the scouse love-ins.
