Media coverage 2018/19

Over here we had Ian Wright and Shearer in the studio (who I don’t mind usually) with Luis Garcia, and fuck me they went on and on and on about how Vinny should have walked.
For balance though they went to Shay Given on the touchline who was grinning like a Cheshire Cat and said people in the stadium didn’t even think it was a foul.

Salah tried his best, feigning injury to get a red. Why he gets a free pass from the media when he has become one of the worst cheats in the league.
Watched it this morning on Sky. Highlights are 2 Liverpool chances and their goal and our goals. And pep having a go at 4th official and Konpanys tackle.
Nothing on our other chances or our penalty shout and the 2 to 3 fouls in the build up to their chance which is why Pep was furious.

Two clear fouls that Taylor ignored. We could put together a video of David Silva's games for us and we would need more than the combined total of hands among the FOCs in CBL3 to accommodate the number of times he has been doubly and triply fouled in some of our moves over the years. The only difference between him and, say, the maestros of the Dipper Diving Board is that he only goes down, same as Aguero, when he is totally cleaned out!

I really fear for the majority of Sky pundits....
They have patently gone against the Sky line and were, quite outrageously, fairly even handed in their praise of our win. They seemed to suggest VK`s tackle was a yellow at best, that our goals were nothing more than legitimate and that our fans were in fine voice. The pundits all seemed to believe we deserved the win.
Fast forward to this morning and Slysports are going on and on and on about 1.1 centimeters being the difference between us winning and them winning? If it had gone in it could have meant a draw at best....but it didn`t so the point they are trying to make is a mute one!
They have repeatedly shown Klopps allegation that VK tried to kill Salah who could have been out for the rest of the season if more contact had been made. He is repeatedly heard to say that Vinnie was the last man. Untrue of course as Carragher pointed out last night!
So the Slysports pundits are walking tightrope with their un-slysports commentary. Funnily enough all their reporters are safe as not one asked any questions to Klopp regarding our blatant cheating!

I don’t think you need to ask that question, we all know why. Same reason why it is our duty to stop them winning the league and save the country from months if not years of media drivel. We aren’t liked so there are probably neutrals who currently want Liverpool to win the title, I reckon they’d all regret it pretty quickly if it happens.

Absolutely they'd regret it. I lived through it in the 80s and it was fkin unbearable! The bbc went all scouse, comedies, pundits, everything scouse. Some of that shite still lives on to this day with Mark Lawrenson and John fkin Barnes still opinionated about LFC or Sterling or whatever narrative LFC need.

I couldnt stand another generation of that shite.

Scouse hypocrtites. How can we ever forget last year Mane almost kicked Edersons head off and they still swear it wasn't a red !!
Even worse, it was the same set of clacking teeth that claimed Mane's horrendous foul on Eddy was only a yellow. The moron was screeching about 'do we need to see blood,' I'm sure there may have been the odd drop as our keeper was getting his head stitched back on.

Those Jamie Jackson ratings are laughable. Getting tons of grief on Twitter. Even liverpool fans are respecting the quality of B.Silva. 6 like common man!

Anyone thinking it's a red is a dick. Minimal contact and only on a replay can you say Salah took evasive action away from Vinnie's lunge. Barely a foul, really.

Anyway, if they're clinging on to that and a lucky rebound not going in, christ almighty.
What is especially annoying is the lack of consistency - there was relatively little coverage of the van dijk tackle vs Napoli that was arguably worse.
I remember, for instance a tackle on Gabriel Jesus in a previous season when the opposition player was flying in, two footed and in the air, and caught him in the leg. Not even a foul if I recall, definitely no card, and no mention later on the highlights.

Imagine for instance the penalty not given to Sterling and imagine if that was Salah.

A nice literate piece of journalism by Daniel Storey in the 'I' - sorry not technically minded enough to post a link - the headline read " Michelin-Starred Football By City - and Fernandinho Was Head Chef". Made a refreshing change

Haha! Like the Old Testament God; full of anger and retribution. I prefer the more ‘chilled-out entertainer’ New Testament version.
