Poor Tim, very often he repeats himself because he send's those reports in ungodly hours, but it is always very interesting listening to him about south American football. You can pull out some obscure 17 year old from Ecuadorian 2nd division and he'll come with so many details. Similar to Brassel/Hatchard with regard to European football, unfortunately we have no one in England coming even close to cover English football, it is all inane commentators and ultra partisan pundits.

If you can't see the u-turn, they sneakily mean the club said they weren't going to comment but ended up doing a statement, in case Pep's comments left any doubts. You could say they are just trying to get people to read the article but it will still end up convincing the short attention span and impatient confirmation bias merchants that City are or were considering joining.
