Media Discussion - 2023/24

Free kicks this season actually. They show a GIF on the Athletic of Julian's goal against Red Star Belgrade, but the actual video clearly shows the ball was on the foam line when he took it. Whether he moved it to the edge or not is immaterial and just shows that you shouldn't believe anything these cunts write.

Unfortunately, you'll have to watch it on YouTube to see it.

The "cunts" don't appear to be claiming that every player moved the ball beyond the foam line. They're pointing out the cases where the player moved the ball after it was initially placed, compared with those who put it down and leave it.

The even point out that there were just a few specific examples where players moved the ball, and moved the foam.

They show three examples from City. The one you mentioned is still on the foam line, but then the foam line is reasonably long and straight. Lots of refs do a little semi-circle so that it's more obvious where they want it. On the other two, Alvarez moved the ball beyond the end of the white line, and Grealish moves the ball in front of the white line.

Perhaps ditch the tin foil hat thinking, and assume they were going to write this article whichever team turned out to move the ball more than others. If you imagine everyone is a '****' who is out to attack City, then there would be no point reading any football articles, or engaging with anyone who isn't a on "Liverpool Thought Bank" levels of fandom.

It means more!

When Red Scouse win it.
They have a lot of fans sure, but how many have the true connection to the club that the vast majority of City fans have, living in Lowestoft, Weston super Mare or Oslo and lying about having a dad from Toxteth to quantify their glory-hunting choice of team as a kid is not the same.

Fucking hell, Klopp is the main headline on the BBC News! **** Roan is live outside Anfailed to talk about how fans will come to terms with it!

Shows you how myopic the sports media are.

Apart from Liverpool fans everyone else is making memes taking the piss.

"Kalvin Phillips to West Ham undermines Premier League integrity - it shouldn't be allowed"
Lovely whining piece in the Mirror today about how Phillips will get to play against poor old Liverpool, but not against City. It's as if it's something unprecedented, that a PL club loans a player to another PL club, who then can't play against his parent club. It's "run of the mill", normal stuff, but headline worthy because (i) it might affect Liverpool, and (ii) City are "cheating" again.
In a way it's preferable to see the bias being so obvious and shamless, as if there was any doubt........

But I thought they all wanted us to loan Foden…..
