I know what you are trying to say, but, as I understand it, the PL process is for breach of contract and follows the provisions of the Arbitration Act 1996, under UK law. So it's not false to describe it as a legal matter even if we don't like to hear it.
I will use the famous opening line, I am no lawyer, but......
Didn't the PL describe them as breaches and then others started to describe them as charges.
Haven't the PL stopped short of saying City have committed fraud, which is unlawful. I still maintain that Martin Samuels knew exactly what he was saying by referring to "law". We can only guess, like we can only guess what evidence the PL have, nobody on here knows. The wheel keeps going forward on this issue but it goes in a circle unfortunately;-)

I am not a lawyer either, thank God, but, imho, the PL describe the allegations as breaches because that's what they are. Breaches of the rules in the contract between the club and the PL. It is irrelevant what anybody else calls them.

The PL hasn't alleged the club has committed fraud because fraud isn't specifically referred to in the contract between the club and the PL. They have, however, alleged the club has, amongst other things, filed accounts that don't show a true and fair view, overstated revenues, understated expenses and acted in bad faith with the PL all of which are breaches of the contract and which, taken together, effectively amount to fraud. Don't forget, breaching contracts is unlawful.

I know what you are trying to say, but this is a legal process, carried out under UK law. We can't really pretend it isn't.

I see Martin Samuel is giving us another kicking in The Times this morning, while blowing oceans of smoke up Liverpool and Klopp arse. Didn’t take long did it…

I actually thought the complete opposite in reading it. He’s basically just saying Klopps not as good as Pep and the future for Liverpool could be good if we’re out of the picture.

I don't think he gave us a kicking at all. He just said that we could be deducted a lot of points if we lose the PL case, which is just a statement of fact.

We don't need fanboys in the media, and Martin Samuel certainly isn't one of them - he supports West Ham anyway - but just honest reporters, and he is still one of them. When he slags off FFP, it's not because he loves Manchester City, but because he thinks FFP is stupid. He's not pro-MCFC, but he's also not anti-MCFC as many other 'journalists' are, and that's surely all we ask of them.

Water on Windermere floats my boat;-)
As a journalist words are his tools. He would have said laws of the game if that is what he meant, he didnt, he said law not "laws". If you cant see the differences with City articles I can, and its not what floats my boat;-)
That's where we differ then, I don't go actively looking for any little thing that can be twisted into a negative. Perhaps I'm just happier in life.

It's started! Real Madrid tapping up Erling.

FFS, Erling is from Norway. Alfie used to play for City, so he knows what the Manchester weather is like. So does Erling.

It's comical. In Spain it always boils down to the weather in Manchester and nothing else.

‘Not comfortable’ – Manchester City star ‘can’t stand’ city of Manchester, ‘rainy and grey’ weather making him sad.

Those are said to be Haaland’s wish to play for Real Madrid, his friendship with Jude Bellingham, his dislike for Manchester, the chance for individual titles and the affordable transfer.

It’s really about the player’s relationship with the English city that El Desmarque writes the most, claiming that could be a big factor for him to leave Manchester City.

The outlet writes that Haaland is ‘not comfortable’ in Manchester, as he ‘can’t stand’ the city itself.

On top of that, the ‘rainy and grey climate’ is said to be the biggest issue, since it doesn’t ‘brighten his day’, which is why he goes to Marbella so often in his free time.

Real Madrid does not forget about Haaland: the five keys to paying the 150 million of his clause

Oh well nice while it lasted

Svrolling through News Now City after tonight’s match.

Isn’t it strange or just coincidence that all these stories linking Haaland to Real Madrid again have started today, the day Haaland is fit again and played for City tonight.

It’s only City players that the press write about struggling with the City & the weather…… Carrington must be tropical & obviously the palm tree lined beaches of Merseyside make the players from warmer climates feel at home. Meanwhile Yorkshire born & Norway raised Erling struggles with rain.

That said after his cameo tonight they’ll go nowhere near him ;)
