We’ll have to agree to disagree. For me it espoused what the Cup can be all about and on these occasions I think quality and technique are not always the main point.

Had Newcastle tried to play like that, we'd have mullered them like Luton in the last round

Of course, the thursday night cup is automatically the most prestigious European tournament when they are in it since it means more.

Nah, it was entertaining, I agree with that. It wasn't top quality though. Entertaining, yes, but great, no. It was actually too open and frenetic for it to be a great game. Maybe I'm being picky though.

It's a natural reaction to the level of football we have watched for years. Used to laugh at the "ruining football" jibes but, in a way, City has ruined "football" for me. I don't watch any other matches now because it's just all too dreadful. I did watch last night, for the laughs and, by God, there were plenty.

This is bang on. 90% of other games look like lower league level in comparison. We are truly blessed.
