Do you think he'd be just as disillusioned if it were rich American owners instead?
Is he like David Conn in that regard?
He was raised in Tooting, South-London. His accent is typical for a person brought up in an area with a large population of Black British and Asian British inhabitants.Clinton Morrison is a fucking joke, as a pundit. Apart from that fucking accent, and I am assuming it to be contrived to be " down with the kids ", exactly what credentials or insight does he bring to debates ?
Mind you considering the other twats that they employ, he appears to fit in well with the SSN clan.
They certainly seem to like " pundits " with annoying and grating voices, ie Melissa the braindead dipper Reddy, Leane rag loving twat Sanderson and Clinton of course. 3 absolute gobshites.
And see the post above re Clinton and his " insight " on matters of interest .
Leanne Sanderson has to to be the most annoying and cringeworthy of the lot. Heard a brief passage of her co -commentary on a Women's world cup game whilst i was driving. Shoe horning "Man U" into the commentary as much as she could in that grating Sarth Landan accent meant an immediate retune to another station.Clinton Morrison is a fucking joke, as a pundit. Yes good points. Obviously the bereavements had a great effect. I read his original book and it was okay.I actually quite enjoyed Schindler's original book, essentially because I've always been fascinated by the speed of City's mid 60s transformation from George Poyser and dwindling attendances, to Bell, Lee, and Summerbee winning the league at Newcastle.
Schindler references a number of early 60s games, and was also one of the few City fans at White Hart Lane in 1960 when City won 1-0. He served his time and deserved the success at the end of the decade.
However, as Maureen Lipman asserts in her foreword, the book is actually quite sad and deals with the sense of loss. I think he lost his dad at an early age, and travelling to City with his mates, was all part of the healing process.
As you say, he's entitled to his opinion, but when he yearns for City's soul, he's effectively yearning for his youth.
It would be no different if he supported any other team, but that's just too easy to ignore.
His history seems to be listening to matches on the radio, that is as real fans do according to him.Yes good points. Obviously the bereavements had a great effect. I read his original book and it was okay.
Thing is that he’s obsessed and defined by the rags and that’s what he’s built his reputation around. To watch the cup final but not the CL final out of choice is simply bewildering for any one with his match going history.
I also have a feeling without any great evidence that he would prefer our ownership not to be Arab.
Not only have City trampled all over the cosy cartel through our success, it’s put a spoke in old Colin’s bubble
