Ok but we are splitting hairs. I thought he was well below his usual standard yesterday. I am a fan of Palmer and sorry we lost him. He has been unplayable in some matches this season. Though Chelsea missed a lot of chances I thought they played like headless chickens most of the time and we took control of the game in the last 20 minutes. That's not how it has been reported even though we had double their shots (11 to 5), double their corners (8 to 4) and 66 per cent possession. Of course Chelsea missed some sitters on breakaways but they were never in charge in my (admittedly biased) view.Palmer may not have had a top game but was far from poor.
