Spot on J.

That is such an accurate assessment of where we are right now.

It's strange in a way because despite our continued success I feel sorry for said generation because they'll probably never know what it's like to have gallows humour.

Which was a badge I was happy to wear.

Same, I love where we are and I wouldn't trade it for anything, but I have a fondness for the older days and the fabled "typical City".

Had the Aguero goal never happened, Dickov in 99 would still be my favourite moment in history.

Early in this thread the debate was if there was a media agenda against City. This has been settled with an overwhelming majority of City fans, at least on this forum, not just agreeing an agenda exists but highlighting the continual drip of instances and the sources.

We have had over a decade of unprecedented media attacks on MCFC and CFG. City Bingo is near exhausted and FFP is coming to an end. Liew does not acknowledge facts presented about the consistent negative bile and misinformation peddled by him and a few dozen national media colleagues. Running out of topics and in the face of factual evidence, he chooses to call out City fans for a carrying out a vendetta by not agreeing with him and his ilk.

He accusses City fans of arrogance, implying that thousands, tens of thousands, hundreds of thousands if not more of us are complicit in some kind of orchestrated campaign to unjustifiably deflect or discredit criticism of City. I could understand if he was voicing his opinions on a forum for fans of the likes of the rags, dippers, spuds and arse but he professes to be a journalist writing for a "credible" national outlet. His motives and those of his employers should come under public scrutiny.

Seems he is happy to dish it out but can't take it.
Superbly put.

Bloody hell! Winter defending City against Shaun Custis on Talksport this morning, trying to accuse us of circumnavigating rules about signing underage kids. This is in regard to the young American Cavan Sullivan and our arrangement with Philadelphia Union.
Winter’s got a big mortgage to pay.

For Blues of a certain vintage, there has been no supporter experience remotely like it in world sport. And none so interesting. At least to the best of my knowledge. It’s been one hell of a ride; all of it.
