The Bellingham thing is interesting. Until I saw him in the flesh against us, I also believed the hype that this was a generational talent coming through and that he was leading Madrid to titles single-handedly. It was clear from the two legs we saw that he's a snide, diving git with a talent buried somewhere in there. However, no-one regularly watches Spanish football as its not been on Sky, so we only saw the odd Madrid CL game and a couple of England games to judge him. So, the hype continued until we watched him in the tournament. However, by then the press had committed to the Bellingham story, the "hey Jude" ad was playing and they couldn't back out to change the narrrative...
He is the Sporting press’s wet dream, a non white middle class boy who didn’t grow up on a Northern council estate

Jonathan Liew, our mate at the Guardian wrote about when the Spanish match turned against us, that throw in. It's this line that got me..
'Walker a powerful man, takes a run up, winds up those fearsome, Carrington-carved muscles.........

I'm focused on a word, maybe it's me but come on, no one, not even Liew is that stupid.

The easy answer to that is to drop the self-entitled shit house.
He's had too many people blowing smoke up his arse since he was at primary school and he believes his own hype.

The fact was people were impressed by his age rather than his performances.

Last season he played as a 9 obviously did well but if he was that fucking great why would they sign Mbappe. He scored less than Haaland & Foden but he’s the dogs bollocks for winning champs league when truth was we played them off the park & he was wank in both games.

Trying to be smart arse but those muscles haven’t been to Carrington.

It baffles me how low Graham Potter's status is seen across social media.

He was on a hiding to nothing going to Chelsea and even his successor failed to bring the mess together.

When he was at Brighton, he had them purring. They were a fantastic team to watch.

Yet even when De Zerbi came in, Potter's work was totally forgotten and rarely mentioned.

Almost the anti-PR version of Bellingham.
He's a very good coach. Pep is an admirer.
