Fuck em all indeed sir. I'm too old now to care about asterisks now. However your third para is the important one in my view. Did Leno just dive late because he was slow or was it because he thought Akanji would divert it. If its the latter then surely Manu is interfering with play........isn't he?
No because if Manu had diverted the ball the goal would have been disallowed.
Clearly Leno knew Manu was stood in what is technically an offside position due to his reaction afterwards.
As a top level keeper Leno should know Manu couldn't play the ball therefore if he is blaming his slow reaction on Akanji's position it's his own fault.
Manu is not in Leno's line of sight either.

I was at the game so couldn’t see much in real time, what was bloody odd was the stadium put on the big screens that Akanji had scored, talk about shooting yourselves in the foot, just watched the footage again and what’s also odd is Akanji initially jumps out of the way but then appears to swing a boot at the ball after it has virtually passed him! the twats in the media know we would have won anyway but it gives the wankers a peg to hang their agenda on. Meanwhile Declan Rice who was mainly invisible against the rags up to scoring a soft goal that De Gea Mk 2 fluffed and was only rated as Arsenals third best player on the BBC fan poll, actually had a colossal match winning performance that showed what a bargain he was! And that’s on the craven BBC, the Guardian and all the red tops, clear and organised.
No the first goal of the game had Haaland on the screen, I think it's about who VAR were looking at, just another shit idea.
