I think that’s largely due to Bradford viewing the tragedy as something personal to the survivors, the relatives of those who died and the town. I’m obviously not privy to their thinking but it’s always seemed to me that they’re comfortable with how they remember that day and don’t covet a huge media presence.That same day a supporter was killed at Birmingham City v Leeds Utd following serious crowd disorder. Can't even remember who the lad supported. At any other time it would have been a major news story but thanks to the terrible events at Bradford was almost overlooked. To my shame I was so euphoric over the Charlton match I had little interest In anything else. It has always surprised me that the Valley Parade tragedy does not receive the same coverage as Hillsborough.
