I remember that game ref the bomb and the brilliant ref was a guy I can`t remember his real name but he was nicknamed Mr Pickwick as he sported some very long and bushy sideburns. The crowd laughed like fuck as he picked the ball up and put it to his ear to see/hear if the bomb was inside the ball and ticking, A very funny moment. ;)

I recall a match or two being played on a mid-week afternoon. This was due to a work-to-rule by the coal miners (or the electrical union?) and the Government were trying to cut electricity consumption.

I thought it was earlier than 1975 as I was at Manchester University from 1971-74 and wouldn’t have been able to get away to a football match on a midweek afternoon in 1975. It was certainly aimed a Conservative Government and they were defeated in February 1974.

I can’t remember who City played. I do recall a bomb scare during a match where everyone was asked to look under their seat for a bomb before play resumed!
That one with the bomb scare was against West Brom, we won 2-1, March 1972.

See the BBC have got a new article up

They have a very very unhealthy obsession about Madrid for some reason.

Also see their main story is:

Why are Forest so good this season - and can it last?

Now, Forest are doing absolutely brilliant this year, fair play to them but they have spend 400 million in the last 3 years, something ignored by the BBC

It's hilarious that a club's spending is now largely being ignored by the BBC.u
Surely this has nothing to do with the fact the Trafford Termites (and many other clubs) are spending big, whilst City have cut back on expenditure.
This coincides with the disappearance of the "Net spending" table.
I don't think anyone saw the huge number of signings by Forest, actually working so well ?
Also, did the media rate Nuno as a manager after his stint at Spurs ?

Yep.
This time last year Neville set the narrative "something's not quite right with City, they look bored to me".

That would be the utd ambassador Nevile.

Tbf, utd fans on twitter and elsewhere were in a rage saying he criticises their club too much.
