I'm not sure how this looks bad on Delaney?

Is the accusation that he himself is now involved sports washing?
I suppose its that he's all about calling out sportswashing, but when his bosses (in Saudi) who pay his wages stopped the 'sportswashing' Q&A, he didn't fight his corner very well and was happy to still take their money rather than leave and show us all how he's fighting for the survival of football in England.

Just seen a headline that states Souness thinks any English manager could have achieved what Pep has at City .. I didn’t bother clicking on it …

He's right, they could.

If they had Pep's experience, his flair, his talent, his intellect, his ability to motivate players, his ability to analyse games tactically, his ability to identify weaknesses in an opposition, his ability to understand the club's own weakness and how to remedy them...

That’s ridiculous. Probably one of those where the (clickbait) headline doesn’t match the content.
Tend to agree Rory, doesn't sound like a Souness opinion, in fairness he's mostly supportive of our achievements and complimentary about our game, players and Pep (though haven't heard much from him recently).

& once he had all of Pep’s qualities he’d need a sporting director, CEO, Chairman & owner that are completely aligned & trusting…

Yeah, but apart from that, what’s Pep ever done for us?!?

Yeah but apart from that, he’s got a point right??

Some scribbler in the ToryGraph this morning wants to add a bit of sensationalism to the daily football scene -
The Gyökeres miracle; From lower-league to outscoring Haarland.

What isn't writ large is that Haarland has his goals from the toughest league in world football, whilst Victor has his from a minor European league. But never mind it makes a wonderfully sensational but incomparable headline.

The same paper also oozes sympathy for the Mings howler (which last night the BBC described as 'bizarre' but today it's a howler, and the stuffing the Arse got in Milan, and guess what, The Arse were denied two penalties. That compares with the high amusement another English team provided on Tuesday. Is their a bigger collection of snidey, hypocritical, sneering bastards than those that fill the football pages of the RDAHMeedya?

Not read the article obviously but did their analysis also include international goals? Is this new superstar also a record breaker for his country.

What is Delooney's response when his unbelievably blatant hypocrisy is pointed out to him? Does anyone know?

It wouldn't surprise me if it was "I work for the Independent not a Russian Oligarch and a Saudi Sultan."

Comon SBG. You know. It was good while it lasted for Erl. It's not even worth waiting for the end of the season stats, is it?!
