You missed the republic of Dipperland that also straddles Disneyland, Narnia, the Magic Kingdom and Fantasy Land.
Where shell suits still hold sway and murder is something done casually just before tea.

Date would be right, I’d have been about 15, exactly how I remember it Gaz. Coming out of the ground someone said Chelsea were waiting.I remember that night…..everybody sprinting to get back to the station….and once there it was how I imagined a war zone to look like…..lots of casualties…bloodied noses, black eyes etc.
Think it was about Oct/Nov 77
John Bond resigned after a cup loss at Brighton which I had the misfortune to attend. Was the first outward sign of the rot setting in I would say.I was also there and I disagree with you on a couple of points. Firstly scoring away in the last ten minutes to simultaneously save yourselves and relegate another team instead, the team you’ve scored against, is about as good as it gets as a football fan, especially given the relative size of the two clubs then and the journey they’d been on through the divisions.
Disagree that we were crap, relatively speaking. We’d challenged for the league the previous season and I feel that was the best City team to be relegated since we were promoted in 1966, the 1996 team running them close. We’d been mid table when John Bond resigned in January. No one was talking of relegation then. Our decline and demise was unexpected and sudden and it never ceases to amaze me that John Benson always seems to get missed off worst City managers lists, as he was a complete fucking disaster.
So it was a huge result for Luton.
Don’t care what some bitter on the radio thinks. Illey broke the cunts and that’s why they are still crying.
A couple of lads stabbed that night too as I recall.I remember that night…..everybody sprinting to get back to the station….and once there it was how I imagined a war zone to look like…..lots of casualties…bloodied noses, black eyes etc.

Apparently we were dreadful that day.John Bond resigned after a cup loss at Brighton which I had the misfortune to attend. Was the first outward sign of the rot setting in I would say.
I was there. Was that the one when we all got piss wet through, or was that the previous league game? Either way we got battered in both of them matches.John Bond resigned after a cup loss at Brighton which I had the misfortune to attend. Was the first outward sign of the rot setting in I would say.
We were. It was one of those times where you just get this numbing feeling that the wheels have come offApparently we were dreadful that day.
It was shocking. An absolutely gutless performance.Apparently we were dreadful that day.
