Media discussion - 2024/25

Met John Stapleton many times at games all over the Uk and Europe. He is a fanatical City fan and always has been. I wish him the best in his health struggles.
Said this a few times when he’s brought up on here but he gave two very skint young City fans who had blagged a train to London free tickets outside Craven Cottage once. Didn’t want a penny for them and told us to save the money we had for beer

Surprise, surprise, he’s a London Journalist.

That’s mainly the problem, bar the Northern based Red Shirt Sill Journalist, most of the Journalists are London based,

No idea who chris wheatley is but I’m sure they’re not the words O’Neil said in his post match presser.

Oh oh. To three quarter million fine to O'Neill.

"Without even knowing it, are you more likely to give a crazy fine to a rich Greek Forest owner or a KFA English manager?

When it's rich owners, is there something in there that influences decision-making?"

Can’t be arsed linking it, but I see Wilson has offered up yet another rehash of his one story again today in the Guardian.
All those lunatic Arsenal and Wolves fans and their foam flecked, dribblings about corruption, cos refereeing decisions didn’t go their way this weekend?
Well, you’ll be as surprised as I was to learn that the root cause of their whataboutery and victim orientated nonsense, is “mega-rich owners”, who “have the potential to bankrupt whole competitions through repeated legal action of questionable merit.”
The premise appears to be that not wishing to acknowledge such owners’ lack of respect for traditional supporters (something that does admittedly resonate) and the game itself, is too painful to accept and has led to ‘discomfort displacement’ in the form of conspiracy theories about referees……
Who knew?!!

Maybe if last season Wilson had mentioned the Korean guy who’s scored Wolves winner shouldn’t have been in the pitch. Then maybe if he’d have gone over last few times we’d played Wolves away he’d have had handballs & plenty of other winners but they don’t. So if he reported a fair & balanced view then there wouldn’t be a conspiracy brewing that we are getting unjust decisions.
