The reason that you can't be offside from a corner is because the ball is deemed to be on the goal line and therefore can only be played backwards.

He did in the first halfAll the keeper had to do, if he thought he was being impeded, was to simply fall over dramatically and that would've been that.
Bit like Allison did a couple of years ago when he was slightly nudged (Dias possibly?) then actually took off and fell down.
