Bollocks.To be fair United and Liverpool were getting all this nonsense when they were top dogs. It comes with the territory!
The reason that you can't be offside from a corner is because the ball is deemed to be on the goal line and therefore can only be played backwards.

The only reason they are saying offside rather than Bernie committing a foul is the keeper pushes him first.

All the keeper had to do, if he thought he was being impeded, was to simply fall over dramatically and that would've been that.
Bit like Allison did a couple of years ago when he was slightly nudged (Dias possibly?) then actually took off and fell down.

Peter Walton really embarrassed himself over that oneRemember the reaction to Bernies perfectly legal goal ?
He was stood offside but waited for the defender to touch it, he then ran from behind him, nicked the ball off him and went and scored.
The over reaction to a perfectly good goal made them change the law.
