That one with the bomb scare was against West Brom, we won 2-1, March 1972.I recall a match or two being played on a mid-week afternoon. This was due to a work-to-rule by the coal miners (or the electrical union?) and the Government were trying to cut electricity consumption.
I thought it was earlier than 1975 as I was at Manchester University from 1971-74 and wouldn’t have been able to get away to a football match on a midweek afternoon in 1975. It was certainly aimed a Conservative Government and they were defeated in February 1974.
I can’t remember who City played. I do recall a bomb scare during a match where everyone was asked to look under their seat for a bomb before play resumed!
Surely he meant “something’s not quite right with United, they look shite to me”. Same every yearYep.
This time last year Neville set the narrative "something's not quite right with City, they look bored to me".

Thats Old Traffords finest mud/shxt. Why it's called the swamp;-)
Looking at that it shows what a good groundsman, at the time, Stan was. Don't think I ever saw Maine Road that bad.
They have a very very unhealthy obsession about Madrid for some reason.See the BBC have got a new article up
