Can’t disagree with anything Pep said there. Realist point of view and looks like he’s up for the challenge. Very humble and I’d be surprised if any media wankers can spin any of that.
Great interview. Not moaning but realistic. No team in the world could perform at their best after losing their four best central defenders. Liverpool struggled when they just lost Van Dyke. No Rodri and no central defence and Brighton drove a truck through that gap in the second half. Shit happens.

Their narrative is already set.
No sympathy for the club with the biggest bestest most expensive squad of all time, right?

starting back 4 + DM for champions league final, all missing due to injury. the odds against them all being out must be very high.

As the song says that was the "best defence in Europe." What we have at present is a shadow of that set-up. No team could contend with losing this group of players all at once. The only critcism I would level at City is that we really should not have allowed Walker to go on for so long. He has not played well for more than 12 months. We should have replaced him with a solid defender last season. We must buy some fresh legs in January. We will create more chances when we sort the defensive line because everything we do is built from the back. I am sure Pep knows how to fix this. For example the main issue with Foden is that he is having to come back deep all the time to get the ball because there is no flow out from our defence. This was very obvious in the second half yesterday.
