I imagine there's a lot of our bitter gutter press journalists who are sympathising with Real Madrid over this decision. Anything to go in City's favour and they're straight there. Thank god foreign journalists voted for Rodri as you know none of the UK ones would have. BBC have a unhealthy fixation on Madrid, note the only story they did not open comments on are the cry babies boycotting the awards.
Madrid should not have even got team and coach of the year in my opinion, it should have been Alonso and his team

We'll always be accused of having tin foil helmets, so to speak, in the same way that we have no fans, no history, the full bingo card!

Personally, I think it highlights the gulf between the clubs, one playing progressive football under a maverick coach, engaged with it's community, the other, an utter laughing stock. Add to this mardisters meltdown, it's been one of the all time great weeks.
