Just saw my Geordie accountant. He mentioned “fancy losing 4 in a row” but he knew nothing of an injury problems, no idea how many academy players played in the league cup whilst the big guns were sat laughing.

This is why I genuinely think they should just play each other every week in their own league and Sky just cover those games. They're so "big" it could work. I'm sure the viewing figures would be great.

That way Sky wouldn't have to bother covering the other teams who get in the way and fans of those teams could avoid having to put up with wall-to-wall coverage of them all the time.

Odd but predictable BBC headline tonight. ‘Man City hold off Hammarby’. We only had 74 per cent possession - hardly holding off. Meanwhile the same BBC wax lyrical about Arsenal women. The headline mirrors the BBC comments throughout the game- talking up Hammarby and desperate for an equaliser.
