Odd but predictable BBC headline tonight. ‘Man City hold off Hammarby’. We only had 74 per cent possession - hardly holding off. Meanwhile the same BBC wax lyrical about Arsenal women. The headline mirrors the BBC comments throughout the game- talking up Hammarby and desperate for an equaliser.
It did not go unnoticed on the match thread. The London based Northern Ireland born BBC strapliner could scarcely have done a worse job of concealing her affiliations.

just seen two back page media clowns these managers stopping players doing what they want to do play for england lol
it would be easier just to say pep destroyed englands chances of promotion

Who cares about England. It's City that train and improve our players, it's City that pay for all the medical treatment.
All England now is pick them to play with inferior players and the press/media blame our players for England's defeats !

Mr Rick Parry, tells us about the FL's support for a football regulator, and bangs on about how the Premier League shouldn't worry. And yet, he just can't help himself...

"To be looking over our shoulder all of the time with challenges from clubs if they don't like rules… the game will grind to a halt unless we find a solution for that."

But it's the willingness of clubs at the drop of a hat to challenge the whole system.

It's not that people like Parry come out with shit like this that turns my stomach, it's that no one in the media is prepared to call them out on it, rather they are prepared to rejoice in it.
