Stoke away. 12k away on boxing day at the Victoria ground was insane
Plymouth away. Sure we did it twice in a week and one was called off when we got to Rugby.
Oldham away when Megson scored in our burgundy and white striped kit. We were all over that day with the bananas, pink panthers etc.

Was there myself mate at Oldham. I remember the police horses outside being a bit rowdy as we was waiting to get the bus back.

How the tables have turned although our away support is still top notch.
Luckily I manage to get to many of our aways each season with my 2 boys. 24 and 11 they are. When I try to talk to them about league 1 away days etc they look at me like I have 2 heads. It was never about the winning for me. It was about the memories, the friendships, the scrapes we got into. I remember being on a train with Daft Donald going to Shrewsbury...earning my spurs coming home from Swindon having to sit on the luggage rack. Just memories that nobody will ever take away.
To this day, our away support is simply the best in the league and this has never changed for me.

For those that don't know (there wont be any) myself and Manimanc were only 2 of 3 blues who went to school together. The shit we used to get weekly.
How times have changed eh mate.

I have vague memories of train wrecking coming back from Shrewsbury, maybe the same game.

Tell me about it. I even remember a couple of teachers at high school being rags and being gobby with it which is no surprise.

Brilliant in the day, we're all around 60 now tho' and the kids have no idea how much fun we had, they just all do marching power and we'll think they're top guys.

FOC's forever...until we have a fall and croak it. :(
I remember going to Coventry away in the very late 60`s and the bastard coppers made anyone wearing Doc Marten Boots take them off and stand in your socks and collect at the end of the game. You were given a numbered ticket to collect said boots.
It was either in Jan or Feb but that was the coldest I`ve ever been at a footie game.
