The final part about teams in top 10 who have been relegated,has been stuck in there in the desperate hope that A) it might happen and B) get the rags,red scousers and arse fans giddy at the thought of it happening,unfortunately they will be disappointed..

Apart from Stones and Ake who over the last couple of seasons cannot be relied on to stay fit….Dias and Rodri are the only players that are missing that will significantly improve the team.

It’s the drop in performances from a huge number of regulars that is impacting the results.

My point is similar to many others have made. Walker was expected to play reduced role yet hasn’t had injuries prior to this season. The drop in performance is due to everyone getting injured at the same time. No rotation, no rest.

Great post. Was thinking only yesterday that there is no one saying Liverpool running away for it is "bad for the game". What a surprise - still disgusting though.

The injury crisis does not explain our current situation in its entirely but rather is one of a number of factors underlying the crises. In the same manner, the way out of the maze, is far more complicated than many, including you I suspect, imagine.
The way out may or may not be under the auspices of the Catalan something which s likely to be determined over the next 6-8 weeks.
I state again, that Guardiola has earned the chance to be in charge of this reset, should he demonstrate the wherewithal and perseverance to accomplish this difficult task.
