Strange that , I listened to it live on radio 5 live and I’m positive she said that no public money would go to the stadium?

Looking at that ,she clearly doesn’t say that in that clip , unless it’s edited or I am losing my mind !

Anyway ,it’s all smoke and mirrors ,the government in my opinion will not fund the building of the stadium .
Hope you are right, they recruited Ratboy remember so beware ;-)

Every MP who has talked about this over the last couple of days has been clear that no money will go to any sporting venue, ie. The Swamp.

Ratcliffe knows how to get his own way anyway it's why he is worth 15b he promises these slime ball MPs back handers down the line they'll do his bidding like all mps only in it for themselves and to make as much money as possible never wanting for anything while they all shit on us!

They do not hate us, they fear us. Not in the way you fear a spider, in the way you fear a Lovecraftian cosmic horror. The same way you might fear a planet eating galactic being.
Come on, you know Cthulhu's boyhood club is Citeh

Massive …..
The rivalry definitely has had some great and unpredictable games.
City and RM have probably dominated the Champs League in the last decade.
RM will be huge favourites and it will be interesting to see the media's slant on this ?
No doubt TNT will roll-out McPointy to endorse and support RM.
Have a feeling it will be portrayed as a major disaster if City lose, though...

And they will be wrong.

The pressure is all on RM.
We are in the guts of a (relatively) awful season. If we beat them, it will be a massive humiliation.

We could lose 10-0. Nobody would blink an eyelid.

Any other team and it would be..

A season plagued with key injuries.

A season of transition.

Completely agree, where the pressure lies.
But the UK media seem to think that City should win every game - even though they have only begrudgingly acknowledged, sometimes, the fantastic achievements under Pep...

I think there could be a huge psychological slant to the Madrid game.
That mardi twat Vini is there for winding up about his absence from the ballon d’or.
There will be the usual shithousing from them and hopefully some proper sledging from our lads.
Sparks bound to fly.
Can’t wait!

Pep may be correct.
Both RM and the Trafford Tramps seem to get the "rub of the green" when they play City.
Also, their bad tackles seldom get a yellow card, yet City get booked for an innocuous challenge.
Hopefully, 2 fair refs are appointed and City may then have a chance...
….and pigs might fly.
No chance we get anything from refs

Always look below the headlines

Football finance & politics mirrors the nations & the Rags & the UK more so. Both living on pasts & picking strategies from a list of bad ideas & the media never giving the right commentary. Neither has a pot to puss in.

The UK has a debt of above 100% of GDP & repayments have tripled in the last 3 years & if interest rates rise they’ll be forced to another budget.

They are making announcements like this on days the other beneficiaries of North Sea oil, Norway announce results of 13% return on their sovereign wealth fund.

From the Guardian..

When it is suggested that such jeopardy is already challenged, with Manchester City champions for the past four seasons and all three promoted clubs in danger of being relegated – just as they were last season – despite a net transfer spend of about £230m between them, Masters does not buy the analysis.

Taken from a long article about Masters day job supporting "Community stuff".

They couldn't miss a chance to try to get a kick in the bollocks, against us...

Wankers the lot of them.

I’m sure the media slant on it, is that

“City and Real Madrid have shared 5 Champions League trophies since Pep joined City”

That’s what the narrative for Klopp and the Premier League was wasn’t it?!
