Not wrong is he. Imagine if City had spent nearly 500million on the squad that had just won the pl. The press/media would be saying its a one horse race, its not good for the pl. There's no competition, it turns the pl into a farmers league.
But its the dippers and the press/media are shit scared to criticise them.

This also puts huge pressure on the dippers to win the treble

It's gone further than that really, when they praise the scouse or the rags it generates clicks. It's not really fear that drives the sycophancy it's profit and keeping their jobs.

Anything less than a treble should be seen as a failure. I'm sure the media would be of the same opinion

I think it was set up by City months ago. He agreed personal terms weeks ago. This is just the usual distortion of the truth we have come to expect from the BBC.
 
I don’t see how clicks can generate any money for BBC Football as it’s funded by the licence fee payer, me and you, yet they blow smoke up the Rag and Scouse arses every single day on their BBC Football website.

You’re both right, it will put pressure on Slot and Liverpool.

I was alluding to another Hack who hasn’t criticised Liverpool’s nearly £500mill spend in one transfer window.

If City had spent nearly £500mill in one single transfer window, City would have got absolutely slaughtered for doing that by the Hacks. As it is, the only people to question that amount of spending in one transfer window by Liverpool are the fans of other clubs, as they remember Klopp and Liverpool fans constantly having a go at other clubs for doing something similar. Yet when it comes to Liverpool, it’s OK to spend that amount of transfer money in one transfer window, bar the weight of expectation of winning the PL title and other trophies 3 games into new season.

Funnily enough just seen BBC North West Tonight, and they had some pundit on point out what a good keeper Donnarumma is, "BUT" will he fit into City's match play, which he suggested was , Ederson kicking the ball "60 yards" to Haaland. So basically we've been the new Wimbledon for the last couple of years !
Also didn't miss a chance to stick the knife into Trafford, "Trafford start not been great".
One poor pass out in three games and he's no good.

You are right. The only point I 'd take issue with is "Klopp and Liverpool fans constantly having a go at other clubs for doing something similar". No club has ever done anything remotely "similar". It's unprecedented for a club to spend half a billion in one window which makes their hypocrisy even more egregious.
