I see BBC talking about goalies going down ‘injured’ to allow for a technical timeout. Stating Donnarumma first to do it.
Now I’m getting on but I’m sure Arsenal spent a full season doing it.
indeed the great Lewis skelly even managed to get himself booked before making his debut for instructing arsenals keeper to fake an injury.

And in the outfield . One of their players did it in the Community Shield against us in 2023 FFS

Lewis Stay Humble Skelly got booked for telling their goalie to do it a while back I believe. Was it the 2-2 at ours?

There are two reasons why the FA use Wembley for semi-finals:

The first is that they own it and spent a small fortune on rebuilding the place comparatively recently. So why spend cash on hiring smaller stadia and leaving Wembley empty for the weekend? That argument did not apply in the past when the FA had to hire Wembley for finals.

The second is that most of the suitable alternatives are in the wrong place. Back in the day, Villa Park and Hillsborough were the default choices although Highbury and others could be selected. Back then both were considered large enough and were well sited to minimise transport costs for supporters. That is not the case now!

To host a semi-final between City and Southampton could have been at Villa Park just like my last non-Wembley semi-final against Ipswich in 1981. That would now accommodate 40,000 as compared to the 80,000 who attended on Saturday. Alternatively it could have been at the Emirates or at Tottenham. In what way would travelling to Islington or Tottenham been better than to Wembley for anyone?

There are some decent grounds around the country suitable to host semi-finals but most are in the wrong place or are too small. The likes of Villa Park and Elland Road are too small. Hillsborough and Old Trafford are too rundown if not dangerous. St James Park, Stadium of Light, Anfield, and Hill-Dickinson are geographically isolated. Imagine the moans from supporters if they had to go to Sunderland for a semi-final!

Like it or not, we are going to be stuck with Wembley for many years to come. So continue to moan but don’t be surprised if few listen.
I get your point but personally would prefer mooching up to towns around the country than lining the capital with our silver

Who lets this know nowt **** anywhere near our club? Has he ever said anything positive about us? He routinely gets things wrong, ask Mahrez, Ederson and The Court of Arbitration for Sport.
Is his timing of his news pure coincidence with us reaching a cup final and in distance of a premier league title? Is he being the bitter rag twat that he is? Is he hoping to derail our success?

Ramsdale was doing it before he was replaced by Raya who has taken it to another level but don't expect the nonces at the BBC to publish something truthful when there's an opportunity to print lies and say something negative about us.

Knocking about on X that the Journo is Robin Mumford.
Apparently from Liverpool but, thinks it's OK to poverty shame football fans.

The scouse **** probably jibbed in using someone else's press pass.
If a blue catches up with him, the grief monkey will play the victim card and blame Chelsea fans or the French Police.
