Just had a thought really that all these media attacks and FA disciplinary on our our International super stars will scare them away.

I remember when Mario was talking about staying with City long term as he was happy here only last week and now talk about "when" he wants to leave.

Could this be the start of something?

Have you ever read a Spanish or Italian newspaper sports section?

From what I've gathered a bad game can result in players being singled out and treated like pedophiles or serial killers.

I can understand where you are coming from!

Pepe did a deliberate stomp on Messi's hand (you could even see Pepe look down whilst aiming at Messi's hand!) and they Spanish FA have not charged him)... insanity!

Hi guys,

First post on the boards but long time trawler on the site.

Can someone please explain how the FA are retrospectively punishing Balotelli for the 'stamp' and yet they show a blind eye to Glen Johnson's 2-footed tackle?

Cant quite fathom the fairness of it all to be honest.

The futures bright, the futures sky blue ;)

FFS!

We are fastly becoming one of the highest profile 'in the news' clubs in the world!

Couple that with the wages on offer and real chance of successand players will be queueing up to join city.

Seriously, they'll be more "scared" of the wardrobe monster!

Who's being truthful? There was no contact. If you want to claim there was give your specs a clean and watch the video again

Let me ask you this if the same scenario happened and it was rooney instead of mario with the alleged stamp on say silva what would your thoughts be?

Do you think there would be a thread on here regarding a ban for rooney?
Spot on. Rooney would be being hunted down on this forum, rightly so.

But only on this forum, not by the FA or media.

Whether people believe it was an intentional 'stamp' or not i've not heard anyone else say there was no contact. I'm pretty sure there is, regardless of intent.

Read more posts then and watch the other angles not just the most incriminating one where you can't actually tell properly.

it`s quite simple, the fa wouldn`t dream of getting any english players in the dock hence vinnie and mario get the book thrown at them whilst rooney and johnson, international regulars, get off scot free for similar if not more dangerous incidents...
keep an eye out for future tackles/elbows/etc,it`s bound to happen again where jonny foreigner will be made the example...

So its ok for a balo stamp but not a rooney one?

Yes: it's known as the "Clattenburg-Ade Protocol". Analagous is the "Ferguson-Owen Time Shift" named after two researchers at Salford's famous University Institute of Quantum Physics and Distilling.

Not just the above but also, in the Glen Johnson incident the referee saw the incident and decided not to take any further action. This means the FA cannot take any action as it was "Dealt with on the pitch" the FA will only take retrospective action if the ref did not see the incident or he reports it to them after the match. Its a shitty rule and allows for blatant bias.
