Your lack of football knowledge is incredible at times. Who wins the majority of those free kicks and corners? Who's dragging 3 or more players out of position by dropping deep and moving into other areas so his team mates can exploit them? Honestly mate you need to watch a game and judge players without them having to score for them to have been decent.
Thankfully Southgate and his team can see what he brings to the side.

we don't have the players to see and deliver to sterling's movement ,our goals except a couple have come from set pieces ,southgate wants to play the possession way but doesn't have the players , put modric/silva into the midfield then sterlings umpteen runs would of been picked out , it isn't a sterling problem it is a lack of quality behind where the problem lies,how any fucker says put vardy or rashford instead of sterling I don't know ,yes put them on with a few minutes to go because sterling has run the oppo raggedAnything but goals, and that is a problem for a forward.

Harry Kane, Marcus Rashford, Raheem Sterling and Jamie Vardy have one goal between them in open play and that was a lucky ricochet off Kanes heel that he knew nothing about. And between them all they've probably only had about 3 decent chances in the 5 games, despite us playing no one any good. It's not a side that lends itself to forwards scoring goals, unless they are a set piece threat. So judging him entirely on his goal scoring is ridiculousAnything but goals, and that is a problem for a forward.

This is an excellent point, watch France's first game and they looked blunt up front, Giroud comes in and all of a sudden they look very dangerous in front of goal without Giroud himself looking much of a goal threat.
Which is 50% of what I said. City don't play like England. England are playing set-pieces and most of the deliveries into the box are high balls. That's not Sterling's game and he's also clearly lost confidence. If he was still playing for the dippers he be being lauded as an essential cog in the team (which he is). This is an example of a media led vendetta, with a hint of racism and a bitter, jealous and thick as *uck general public back home lapping it up.
