Media persecution of Raheem Sterling

If the Swansea defender did get a touch on the ball it was the most featherlite touches, just about grazed the ball with his boot so to me it was a clear penalty.

Yep, how many times do we hear Dippers going on trying to justify a Salah pen by suggesting that at that speed it doesn't take much to take a player out! Must only apply to players in red shirts! A trip is a trip, no matter how 'gymnastic' it might appear.

Our pen looked a joke from the stand but could see why it was given from low camera angle. But look at the nailed-on one he didn't get at Huddersfield and just walk away pretending it really does even out. And laughing at the rag and dipper lickspittles in the media of course.

I don’t think Sterling dived
But I don’t think
It was a penalty either
As for the third goal.....you rode your luck tonight

Do you not think Swansea rode their luck for the first 70 minutes and even after?
We hit the post twice
The ball was smashed into the keeper's face from which Mahrez headed wide of an open net
A goal line block and the ball trickled across the goal

And their only two efforts on target (from five actual attempts compared to our twenty two) are goals

That one at Huddersfield was Marriner as well, wasn’t it? Maybe that was in his mind when he awarded it.

I’d agree with this. Mind you, having Liverpool and Nited fans moaning about City getting a bit of luck is somewhat ironic. Their salty tears make it more enjoyable somehow!
We were due a bit of luck though, given the worldie goal Townsend scored against us (and the Schlup goal was pretty good as well), and the screamer Leicester scored to beat us.
What I especially love is the media certainty that, if Sterling isn’t given the penalty, city lose 2-1 and go out.
Anyway, let’s hope your boys ensure that OGS starts next season in the Europa league, where they belong.

@sterling7 on the changing media narrative: “When I started playing for Liverpool’s first-team I was regarded as the next best thing, always being praised. I had a decision to make personally in regards to what I wanted to achieve in my career...”

”Your career is only 10-15 years and I hadn’t won any trophies. I wanted to be lifting trophies, so I made that decision to move to City and the tables turned. All my headlines from that day on were all negative before I even kicked a ball.”

”In England, a lot of the players would rather do without the stress because once they [the media] come at you, they come at you hard.”

Total deflection Raheem.
They're after you because of your support for human rights abuses and your private funding of the war in Yemen.....
And well you know it.
