Caught the completely pointless and cringeworthy article on SSN this morning comparing kane with the all time pl goalscorers. Based on his current rate of scoring it would take X number of games to catch Owen, X number of games to catch Henry etc etc. Didn't see the beginning of the article but hopefully (well, doubtfully) they mentioned agureo's goals per game ratio which is slightly better than golden boys!

We were all over the sports media yesterday with everybody eulogising over whether we can win the Champions League. All the pundits quite rightly think we can, and that a Quadruple is not out of the question. The club has never had so much positive press.

Its the usual "conspiracy" theorists mate.
I dared to say that I thought Spurs had a wonderful result against Juve ... and got lambasted for daring to say so.

There is a degree of bias within the sports media but I haven't seen anything to get annoyed about recently.

It's confirmation bias in your head. I listen to Talk Sport and it seems to me that every time I get in the car someone else is talking about how good we are. Now granted, I just listen when I make a car journey but yesterday on my way into work they had a long interview with Paul Dickov, talling about how we can win the CL. Then I got in my car several times throughout the day and they were running the "Paul Dickov tips City for CL glory" as a news story. I can totally understand how fans of other clubs think that we (and Pep) are media darlings because right now we are.

The shouty man is a nothing but a jumped up little fucker who's voice grates me to the point I'd rather listen to paddy crerand mumble on about how great the rags are.

Did you? How odd. That was self evidently a great result, and from 2-0 down especially so.

Invincibles, quadruples, etc.. this talk has all come from the pundits/papers etc. Even a treble is unlikely for me. League, ok. Carabao is a 50/50. FA cup still has United/Chelsea/Spurs in it, and the CL has VERY good experienced teams. I would settle for 2 cups personally, after finishing last season potless.

HOWEVER keep this level of football up every season and we'll win every cup available, but not necessarily in the same season.

I have no idea about Jim White at all, but "How do you stop Man City?" is a common media thread. It's just a different angle from "How good are Man City?".

If he's said "Pep can't do it in the prem" then he's made an absolute fool of himself this season.
