It makes me think back to a player like Kinkladze and how he got shunted around with managers failing to get the best out of him.

Arguably that is the essence of Pep as a manager. He looks at his players and creates a system most suited to the players he has, not forces his players into a system which negates their talents.

When you look at the combined influence of Silva and KDB this year and think back to previous systems when KDB was shunted out on the left etc.

Whenever I hear Gary Neville criticise City, I can't help but recall a funny and clever Swahili proverb I learned off a mate at uni "Nyani haoni matako yake" literally means 'a monkey cannot see its behind', behind being my polite version of the Swahili word.
