He’s not a United fan as far as I’m aware, although you’re right about his bitterness and hating us. He’s an odious dickhead, and it makes each victory that little bit sweeter knowing just how much he resents our success.

He has written many articles for a pretentious site called something like "sporting intelligence", which he seemed to be the main contributor.

I read a spiteful article he wrote, attacking our club several years ago and I remember looking into which other articles he had written. Most seem to be praising the rags and promoting hate towards us. He's one of the club's most vitriolic critics.

You are imagining it. I do understand your point as it does feel worse as we have a small squad but our rivals have undoubtedly had worse injuries to contend with. City and Southampton have the lowest number of days in the league players were unavailable for selection.

I've not really paid much attention to our rivals' injury lists this season, but I think where we've fared relatively well (unlike in past seasons) is in not losing crucial personnel for prolonged periods, and for us that means Kev, Dave, Ferna and Sergio. They've stayed injury free pretty much all season.
If you compare it to the 2015/2016 season (Pellegrini's final year in charge) we've been incredibly lucky. During that 9 month season, we lost Nasri for 7 months, Kompany for 6 months, Sagna for 5 months, Zaba for 4 months, Bony for 4 months, and Sergio, Dave, Kev, Clichy and Mangler for 3 months each

As you say arguably our key players have stayed injury free. Namely for me KDB, Sane and Aguero and although we have lost Komps and Silva we do have very strong replacements in those roles.

For me the biggest loss we could suffer are Sane and KDB.

Sane as if he was injured Sterling has to leave his favoured position and then we have Sterling and B Silva out wide who naturally cut in, limiting our width.

KDB because of his all round play, work ethic, and his ability to switch play both with his long and short passing game. Not a slight on David Silva, just we have more like for like replacements.

I suppose they might (who knows who Pep likes or dislikes) but they would have to be capable of being team players and work exactly to Pep´s instructions.

Feels like Spurs and Chelsea hardly ever have injuries to key players.

We've had Mendy missing virtually all season, and Jesus, Komps and Delph for large chunks of it.

We have done well all things considered to have a slender lead at the top, if they were all fit all season we would be champions already.
