Fantastic post sir.DeBruyne and Silva should be no's 1 & 2 in the Footballer of the Year awards, with Salah 3rd. KDB and Silva (with Fernandinho mentioned in dispatches) are quite simply the reason we are a PHENOMENAL and UNPRECEDENTED 16 points clear at the top of what is nominally the most competitive league in World Football. They dominate and conduct game after game, non-stop for 90 minutes, week after week, against the best teams in the division as well as the also rans (Kev individually utterly destroyed both Chelsea and Spurs) and their brilliance going forward is matched only by their fantastic defensive contributions. Two years ago, Kev would give up if a player went past him. Now he thinks nothing of hounding opponents to death like (and you may appreciate the reference) Ian Rush, who was the best defensive striker I've ever seen, in his pomp. Even deep into injury time the pair of them are still at it like navvies. Salah's had a brilliant season, with a fantastic scoring record, but DeBruyne in particular has been on another level entirely, elevating City to a position where we might genuinely be considered the best team on the planet. If he doesn't get the award it will be a complete travesty
........but you simply don’t get football if the winner is just about stats.
Tell that to the opposition players who have hacked away at our players. The media set the narrative imo, we're "oil City", it's ok to kick our players, it's ok to boooo sterling, ignore Aguero, ignore manager of the season if it is City, totally and utterly ignore the work Ferny does. Nah I think our players will be lucky to get more than two awards this year, and that is despite the tag of probably the greatest team the premier ever saw.It’s still not the media that give this award out, it is the players. The only thing that might go against KDB is having Silva, Fernandinho and Aguero in there. If you’re thinking about city, they’ve all been very very good this season. If you’re thinking about Liverpool it’s Salah, Spurs it’s Kane and Utd it’s DeGea.

lets see though, I might be wrong, it does amaze me how little recognition our players and managers get over the years
It doesn't matter if he has won somehting or not.It is a personal award not a team award.
One can argue that KDB is playing in a much better team and doesn't need to raise his levels as much as Salah has to.
When a footballer shines in a bad team then that says something whereas when playing with better players it is easier to produce results.
So if Salah wins it won't be a travesty.Look at his goals & assists.Also the manner of his goals.
As for team of the year I agree you guys ,City,should get it easily!
