How does it increase from this mate?

It's a no brainer. Only give access to those who play ball. Like it or not, the dippers and rags only get this treatment because they would happily remove journalists and papers if they were seen to be disrespectful. We don't take this approach, so we're the equivalent of Edin Dzeko, the person who won't throw a strop when being subbed so always the first one to be used as deemed necessary.

We're sat here a day after re-writing the record books and almost every paper is covering the 4th placed team. Why? Because if they didn't the dippers media would tear them a new one. Ours? Not so much.

I think this is approaching it as if the club are the only source for the writing.

The media can quite happily live without a direct line to City - we have to let them into press conferences, we announce signings, matches are televised - so much of it is freely available to them. Restricting what we give them will not serve any purpose at this stage, given our profile to their readership. Primarily online, they're driven by advertisers and thus clicks.

It's fine if you know that you command a huge percentage of their click providers, but we don't.

I've just seen this 5 minutes ago, I don't mind Cascarino actually, he's been quite complimentary about us - rightly so - but I'll need to reconsider after this atrocity of punditry.

And that is why banning the media won’t work the media need to get there money in somehow And it’s about fake news sucking up to the clubs that generate the most clicks and taking the piss out of us.

The 'Cost Per Point' analysis and reporting has only surfaced in recent weeks as we began to systematically smash all previous records set in the Premier League. In my 50+ years of watching football I have never seen it mentioned beforehand. The obvious question is just exactly why has it all of a sudden become a measure of success? It is the somewhat last and desperate stick the media are scraping around to find to beat us with.

I reckon it is virtually certain that the rags will out spend us in the summer in a vain effort to stay on our coat tails. Let's see if the 'Cost Per Point' analysis is highlighted and wheeled out then?

It's laughable - it really is! However, I'm just about to leave the house to go and watch the trophy or should that be trophies parade in town.
