A point-counterpoint article that speaks to the hypocrisy generally exhibited by the British press. Was forwarded to a Chelsea fan, two scum fans and a scouser. I'l be curious to hear their rebuttal. Thanks to the OP for posting.

Harking way back to 2008 City bought with wild abandon; Arsenal passed the ball around until the sun went down without ever taking a shot on goal; United were dominant with an arrogance that derived from being the best; and Liverpool got giddily excited every summer because they just knew this was going to be their year.

A good article but written by a City fan who hates Liverpool ;) so if it takes that much bias to reset the narrative the 'fair-minded' are likely to be unimpressed.

You are not wrong.
I often think that if we had the media on our side and they wrote articles that hid our problem areas and focused only on buttering up City would our fan base see it as unfair ?
We are naturally biased, but would we be as deluded about City as say Pool fans seem to be about their team performances where the .media appear to be terrified of even the slightest criticism.

Long may this media bias continue, unfortunately the manager realises the press are just pandering to the fans and players need to be bought.
