I think the last week of pre season is the perfect timing for a major anti City story. The Tabloids will either dig up some old story,or invent something for the masses to gorge on.
Sky will run with a ticker, with no comment on it for a few hours.
Pep furious, Aguero to leave, Ffp, love triangle,
My favourite for this season, Ederson will be targeted, pep got it wrong again.
Already started to trend on talkshite this one.

Or may be paranoid this morning after 2 bottles of red
My money is on someone reporting some BS like Pep had met with Sanchez after the Community shield and urged him to put in a transfer request to get him signed by Friday. Gives Wenger something to kick off about when they lose again.

Huge, massive article - 7 or 8 lines - in todays Mail about our match against another PL side in Iceland yesterday, really only naming scorers.

Had it been rags then it would have been at least a four page spread, pictures of Peg & his wonder team etc. etc.

Oh, wait a minute, a two page spread about Mata complete with several pictures of rags shirts on next page.

Brilliant men artical

Just read this in our local paper (men)

Bernardo - a full-back with an attacking bent - believes he is an ideal fit for City and Guardiola's philosophy.

Brilliant

Just noticed that myself...and people wonder why we call it the MUen....
At least they spelt his name correctly even if his position is all wrong

BBC taking the p*ss now!

Yesterday us against West ham, no live text or articles. Note they had live text for the rags and dippers matches the past couple of days.

Still no article on the match after it had finished

Come today, live text for the Dippers and Spuds. With updates from Swansea and an article on the abandoned Burnley friendly.

W*nkers!

Just watched a 5 minute piece on the ICC that ESPN showed at halftime of juve vs Tottenham and they didn't show one goal that we scored yet showed the Madrid goal against us as well as lukakas goal against us. I kept waiting for it but nope nothing. That is actually criminal

Just imagine the agony they're going through at the moment. Sublime football v Hoofball.

My heart bleeds for the media. (As I'm typing this, tears of laughter are trickling down my trouser leg!)

The BBC news item about the fourth test somehow seemed to be almost entirely about United because the cricket was taking place at Old Trafford. Seriously pathetic, you wouldn't even have known that England had had a good day.

The fucking BBC report on the cricket just begins 'you can't mention one Old Trafford without thinking of the other' shows a signpost to the swamp, then a speeded up camera journey from the cricket ground, to the swamp, stopping with a lingering view of the swamp.

So we get a free advert for the rags, before any mention of the actual cricket, on a report about the England cricket team playing South Africa.

Not even subtle.

We're going to absolutely annihilate them in the PL this season.
Let the BBC, Sky, Talkshite and the rest put a positive spin on that for their darling club.

I'd like the thread title to be changed to *Media and BBC Thread Bias Thread 2017/18*.

It's more than obvious what BBC Sport, Mediacity, Salford Quays are up to concerning United.

Be it from the fall out with the piss can, leading to the eventual BBC climb down, or the fact that BBC Sport are now located across the Quays from United, it's obvious BBC Sport are pushing United at any given opportunity.

This from a national broadcasting organisation who are meant to be fair and impartial.

The bible bashing miracle worker Glenn Hoddle in the Daily Fail.

GLENN HODDLE: Under-pressure Guardiola has nowhere to hide this season... and Mourinho's machine is looking ominous

No one is under more pressure than Pep Guardiola this season. Not Jose Mourinho, he has already banked two trophies. Minor ones but trophies nonetheless.

Now the excuses run out. City have spent £200million this summer and £190m last season when Guardiola arrived. Everything ought to be in place.

He must have already been feeling some scrutiny after signing Eliaquim Mangala for £42m and Wilfried Bony for £28m even prior to Guardiola’s arrival.

Blah, blah, f***ing BLAH!

Hoddle then goes on to wax lyrical about the Special One and United. And only mentions the Lukaku transfer fee and nothing else about United's transfer spending.

108 pages. And the season hasn't begun. We really are a bunch if fannies. Get a fucking grip. "The Daily Mail said this. The Mirror said that. The BBC didn't say anything about Unitd paying XY and Z for XY and Z player". Let's boycott them! Yeah, let's boycott the Mirror with its daily sales of less than 1% of the daily population. Boo fucking hoo...

They really are cnuts.... they should be excited about the football they are about to witness.....they'd be salivating if arsenal were in our position, instead they are going with those promising youngsters oxlaide-chaimberlain and Walcott again
