Same on BBC R5 this morning - Dippers first QF for 9 years apparently - no mention how much money PSG have spent and failed
 
Andy Gray was embarrassed by the prick too, never liked Keys, knows sweet fuck all about football and obviously has a bee in his bonnet about Pep...... Cringeworthy performance and taken down by Uwe who knows a great deal about football...!

Are they though ? look at the 'Arab Spring that we (well the war criminal, B.Liar) backed and everyone thought it would be wonderful, it turned into a right shit storm and not one person from any of the affected countries are better off with their new found freedom/russian dominance. Perhaps our owners do a very good job of keeping a lid on a powder keg.

in he earlier broadcast they even ignored the cricket. It was all quite odd.

Not questioning how much of a fan you are... but, personally, I would never watch another team ahead of City, no matter what game or occasion.

Don't get me wrong, I'm interested in how Spurs will get on and it could be a great game, but I'd rather see Jesus and Foden potentially get a run out.

BBC has form for this. On the day of the ‘Pete the Badge’ incident, there were two PL games. Us v Swansea and rags at Leicester. We can go third if we win whereas rags were 4 points behind us so can't get top four. Also both Swansea & Leicester were just outside the bottom three so both were crucial games.

In 5 consecutive bulletins on 5 Live, guess which game got mentioned and which didn't? I complained and their response was that they couldn't mention every game. There were only 2 FFS and arguably ours was more important.

Yes because an average Emirati is on over $100k per year and pays no tax or water rates or utilities cost, there's not much of a powder keg to keep a lid on. The UAE is not remotely like Syria, Yemen or Egypt.

The ruling family are without doubt fantastic to their citizens but no one is complaining about the way that Emiratis are treated, the issue is with the migrant workers that make up 90% of the population.

And whilst you may not care about it, I am not a huge fan of any rulers that have the death penalty for adultery, blasphemy and apostasy.

But they have been great for Manchester City and for that I am eternally grateful, but I can understand why a neutral may say "City are a fantastic team with horrible owners".

How would you compare them to Super Powers like Russia, USA, UK etc

Those powder kegs you mentioned were the most liberal parts of the Arab world until it goes off.

50-60 years ago, homosexuality was a crime & we still had capital punishment. Sometimes it takes a bit longer for countries to catch up.

They do occasionally, yes. This one was strange because it all it needed was one sentence that City are probably through already, and move on to Spurs. I don't think that would have been unreasonable coverage.

Not to mention another cricket collapse and a huge innings by a NZ player seemed very strange, so it wasn't the only thing ignored.

What was the problem that caused the trouble in Bahrain? I think there is an element of what happened there being merged into the Emirates in peoples' memories.
