It’s no wonder Pep is irritated. The media purport to be knowledgable about football but the level of the questioning is so poor and repetitive. How many times does he have to say one game at a ime before it sinks in that Liverpool is just another game to a professional like Pep, and as he says the same number of points are at stake. On a side note the sly sports prediction (can’t remember wich journalist) predicred that both the Blades and Burnley would restrict us to a draw,
Rather than genuinely try to predict, they are like schoolchildren who hope for a certain result without any credible reasoning.
Yes it’s nice to have positive articles written about City but who actually cares really? What matters is what happens on the pitch and I’ve said before I would rather they dislike City and betray their obvious ignorance and bias rather than fawn over everything we do (as per Utd. And L’pool) which not only. alienates the rest of football fans but even Utd fans, if my experience of them is a anything to go by are embarrassed at some of the shite written about them
Lets keep showing them how it’s done on the pitch, not the back pages of increasingly irrelevant “newspapers”
Nice opinion mate, your input should be far more prolific.

There’s also the narrative about Liverpool being unlucky with their injuries compared to us. Have they also got their best player out for weeks? Have they had their top scorer out for months? Ok they’ve got their best defender out but we’ve hardly had an injury free season. Quite the opposite.
How many players have LFC lost to Covid. We must have had seven or eight by now including Sergio, Jesus, Walker, Mahrez, Gundogan, etc etc. We have also played more games than anyone, especially over the Christmas period. Our quarter-final at Arsenal and semi-final at Old Trafford have been airbrushed out of history. Klopp has made a fool of himself again.
Liverpool FC must be one of the moist poisonous clubs in world football given their hacking, leaking of stories, and relentless smear campaign against us in the media. That doesn't even include their fanbase.
Why can't they just shut up, behave with a bit of dignity, and do their talking on the pitch?

Getting lots of flack on the comments. And from the Svousers. Obviously there will aleays be brainwashed, cult, Scousers.

Pearce.

Klopp doesn’t do mind games. It was a slip of the tongue rather than a deliberate attempt to rile Guardiola. But the reaction was another reminder of the simmering tensions when Liverpool and Man City meet.

Slip of the tongue lolol a slip not another slip lolol. Gerrard likes this !!!

Seriously if this Peace ( never heard of him ) thinks his readers believe that it just reinforces my belief not to buy papers or sky or BT etc.

I have now had a chance to watch the comments from Klopp online. Pearce must be a total moron if he thinks it was a slip of the tongue. It was very deliberate and unfortunately Pep took the bait by hitting back too quickly in public. The response from City should just have been an official one which corrected the false statement from Klopp in a routine sort of way.
However I think this little spat will galvanise Pep and motivate our players. Remember that many of our players have suffered from Covid and have fought hard to get their fitness back and Pep's mother was killed by the virus.

One of the comments on there is a classic..."how do you know it was a slip of the tongue.....are you in his head as well as his arse"?

I disagree, Pep hit back just at the right time as the media had already started to report Klopp‘s quote and, as usual, without any challenge which meant those gullible enough would have took it as fact.

Pep is the face of City and by highlighting it the media had no choice but to then right the wronged narrative.
