Yeah Foden only intercepted Alisson’s pass, went past 2 players, kept his composure and found Gundogan, because City have better players.

He only picked the ball up out wide and drove at the defence, smashing it past the keeper, because Sterling was waiting on the other wing.

Crooks is a crook and is stealing a living.

The second paragraph is so incredibly patronising:

At the moment Foden, as was the case against Liverpool, puts the finishing touches to fine team performances, leaving the grown-ups such as Gundogan and Sterling and De Bruyne - when fit - to break the bow of the opposition. He's young and has time but he's not ready to take over from the adults just yet.

Apart from being wrong. Its disrespectful
PMSL, I've just read that nonsense. So to be MotM at Anfield, average players just need to be surrounded by better (or adults in his words) players? Surely by that logic (not a word usually reserved for Garth), one of the better players should be MotM?

I'll bet the Liverpool fans aren't happy about his piece on Sterling either.

...and reminded everyone why he left Liverpool for Manchester City in the first place.

It wasn't only about winning trophies, although the Premier League title is almost certainly heading back in the hands of Sterling and his team-mates, but also about becoming a better player.

Pep Guardiola ‘did not hesitate to hire’ Nicolas Jover for Manchester City – Frenchman key on set-pieces

The report is from Sports Witness. Anyway, this is the first sentence:

“Manchester City is often seen by the European sport media as a good example of how a football club should be run”.

I had to read the article to see if they were taking the piss. It’s so ingrained now when reading anything city related to immediately assume it’s a negative article.

Pretty much all media outlets have been talking non-stop about Foden since Sunday. Great to hear and I'm sure he will keep his feet on the ground.

Match of the Day and This Week`s Media Non Headline

Having watched Sunday`s MotD2 I had images of the draw, Klopp`s 1-1 game. Yet even so despite this outcome, City were still top, 7 points clear of Liverpool, with a game in hand.

On checking the results, it was not 1-1 after all. In fact, 4 goals to one and a gifted penalty to Pool for their solitary score. Furthermore, we were actually 10 points above them and had not drawn after all.

It then became clear that Gundog had scored more goals at Anfield in 2021, even with him trying to pick out one of the stewards in the Kop with his penalty kick, than the entire Liverpool team.

Then I saw the screaming headlines on the back page. Klopp highlighting the fact Pool now had a weeks` rest before they are due to play Leicester who are involved in the FA Cup this week, playing late on Wednesday and early on Saturday. Oh, hold on.

It`s been a tough few days for the media.
