From the athletic....

We’ve seen Manchester United lose 1-6 at Old Trafford during Ferguson’s era, of course. But that 2011 defeat to Manchester City was very different – three concessions in stoppage time, when United had been piling men forward in a desperate attempt to produce a typically unlikely comeback. The scoreboard said 1-6, but the performance was perhaps 1-3.

Hmmmm....anyone else remember the game as this?
All I know is that it was Fergusons biggest ever defeat and that it won't be Ole's biggest ever defeat. : )

I had to laugh at the crap Ole came out with on MOTD last night. Along the lines of if you look at United’s history they have been beaten like this and bounced back. Harking back to past days when your team has just been battered by Spurs wouldn’t convince me he was the right man for the job if I was a rag.

I see James Cooper's in place at Cold Trafford putting a positive spin on all these big deals ! They've actually let him into the stadium instead of his usual spot in the car park.

When he said it isn't the worst day in their history I half though he was going to shoe in a Munich reference.

Operation placate armchair scum has been initiated. I bet Ashton is giving him his lines.

again i just don't get why they have to go to the fuckin stadiums...supposing they do make all these big deals do they think they will be wheeled out in front of them?

Unbelievably SSN still have Cotterill hanging about outside Dortmund's stadium waiting for any breaking news about Sancho going to the rags. He's been there nearly a week apparently and for what? Every man and his dog knows that this deal fell by the wayside a couple of months ago when the rags failed to meet both Sancho's valuation and Dortmund's dealine.

Desperation at its finest.
