Dean is a Tranmere fan. However, he was barred from refereeing derbies until 2 years ago. Numerous allegations have been made over the years about a soft spot for Red Scouse. The suspicions increased after the first derby he reffed, which even by his own celebrity status was dodgy as fuck.

I know some Tranmere fans, they really dislike Liverpool and Everton fans, especially the ones who are from Birkenhead but decide to chase glory over the water
