Kompany has a degree and a masters in Business administration. I was surprised he went into coaching tbh, always thought he'd move up to board level at some stage.
Yeah, I always thought Kompany would have gone into actual business management rather than football management, that's why I wasn't sure if he finished his business qualifications in the end. He's a smart and driven guy though so he probably finished them and then went straight on to get his coaching badges.
I hope it all works out for him, I know his Anderlecht career has been pretty rocky and the bars that he owned were struggling even before the Covid issues but I think that anyone with his drive will reach the top in whatever area he decides to put his energy.

Who is that rag rimmer who claims to support Orient. One day he said City had spoilt the league and would win it every year until the next millennium, the next day he said that the rags would win the league next year if they sign Haaland. What a cockwomble.
Luke Edwards of the Telegraph. A newcomer apparently auditioning for membership of the WhatsApp group

Smashing bloke as well, met him quite often post match and he was always brilliant with our group of mithering 16/17 year olds. Bright lad, been to university, Leeds I think, Steve Highway from Liverpool was the only other player I can recall having been to university.
Steve Coppell too, law I think.

I heard him this morning and it was like someone from 'fan tv'. I actually like him a presenter but it was ridiculous this morning.
Like you said 'surely only a united obsessive' would watch the u18s and 23s.
He regularly talks about being a Bournemouth fan, but he went he to university there so my guess he's a rag who adopted as his 'second' team.
I read years ago a lot of sports journos are 'encouraged' to say they support an underdog, like a Forest etc...
However the mask often slips!!!!!!!
Same as referees like Taylor. If he admitted he was a united fan he wouldn’t get the big games

Taylor moved down south, as well as Dean so they could ref Derbies in their respective counties.
Dean's a confirmed Tranmere fan no? And he's only ever done 2 derbies IIRC. And he lives in north Wales?
